Tea Workshop - Teas We Ferment: Raw & Ripe Puerh Teas

Originating in China as early as the Han Dynasty (25-220CE), Puerh dark teas are a unique style of tea made popular in Puerh City, China, during the days of the Silk Road. These teas are carefully pile-fermented and often inoculated with various bacteria and fungi. This fermentation process results in a deliciously savory, earthy, and, sometimes, dusty flavor. Though low in antioxidants, these teas are high in probiotics and great for your digestive system! Fight off the winter blues, revive your gut, and join our Tea Sommelier, Lily Colonna, as she performs Gongfu with a variety of Puerh dark teas.
